Musing
by allmanbrown
My cat Sushi gets very hyper active around this time. She jumps up and down off things. It’s like she’s doing the feline version of the bleep test. Anyway, thank you to all those who have been down to the gigs recently, it really is a pleasure to see familiar faces whilst stretching the old pipes. I’m back in the studio this week and feeling the need to be in there all the time to escape the clutches of my job at the Sands End Pub….you got to pay your dues people but sometimes that’s not so fun. Grumble Grumble but enough of that, what needs to be done on the way must be done, it’s all in the service of the gods of music (wouldn’t it be great to meet the music god of experimental acid jazz fused with funk?). To alleviate the stress somewhat of trying to make it in this music business I have been hoarding positive moments to cheer me up. Here are a few of them:
1.My new and lovely friend Amelia describing how, late one night a drunk man took a shit on her windowsill
(She scared him off)
2. Picking up a copy of Norman Mailer’s book, Ancient Evenings about reincarnation and Ancient Egypt for £2.
3. My friend Fabio who works with me, he hugs everybody hello, every shift.
4.All the staff at my Sainsburys local for smiling when they don’t have to.
5.Finding a great riff.
6.Getting a hug from Michelle, she squeezes you.
7. This song
8. A certain someone making me a cup of tea, making me dinner, keeping me calm.
9. My Mother being funny.
10. The sun in an Enlgish and Blue Sky.
Sleep well everyone xx
